Importing a Sheet from Another Client File (Desktop)

What it is: A way to copy a single worksheet (such as a customised Accounting Policies sheet) from one client file into the current client file, as long as both files use the same framework.

What it's for

When a firm has carefully tailored a sheet in one client file — for example, customised accounting policy wording — this import function lets you reuse that work in another client file without manually recreating it. It saves time and ensures consistency across similar engagements.

Both the source and destination client files must be on the same framework.

How to do it

  1. Open the client file you want to import into.
  2. Navigate to Content.
  3. Select Import Worksheets.
  4. Navigate to the folder containing the source client file and select Open.
  5. Navigate to the Annual Financial Statements file within that folder and select Open.
  6. Select the sheet you want to import.
